Where to begin

Your records decide the route

Whether a parent, a grandparent or an earlier ancestor held Serbian citizenship changes everything about the process. So does the state of the records.

That is why every case starts with an eligibility consultation: a document review and a written opinion on where you stand. It is credited toward whichever route you take with us.

  • Parent route: a parent is or was a Serbian citizen
  • Ancestry route: a grandparent or earlier ancestor, with archive retrieval
  • Research cases: when records are missing or uncertain

FAQ

What should I bring to the eligibility consultation?

Whatever you have: birth and marriage certificates, old passports or identity documents, and any family papers that mention places or dates in Serbia. We review them and tell you what is still needed.

How does research work if records are missing?

Research is planned in capped blocks, agreed in writing. After each block we report what was found, so you decide whether to continue with full information.
